In this film a political prisoner escapes and kidnaps Paula Cavalier (Marion Game) , the daughter of a politician on the campaign trail. About the midpoint of the movie, he secures her on the front seat of his car, hands bound behind the back and feet tied, and gags her with a thin strip of blue cloth tied between her teeth. He leaves her to thrash and struggle about while he takes a wounded man to a clinic for treatment. Upon leaving the place, he's nearly caught by a police detective on his trail but manages to escape to his vehicle and wild road chase ensues. He dumps the car in a lake but shoves her out of the moving car (???) to relative safety before hauling her away into the fog-bound woods. He eventually unties her.
