A young Zoe Saldana plays Flor in this drama in which a catholic priest tries to combat a wave of religious hysteria in a small Hispanic community and finds himself romancing the beautiful girl, Flor. Caught while kissing her in a barn, the priest overpowered by the shrieking mob and locked up in the barn as Flor is dragged away and tied to upright post, accused of witchcraft by the mob. The young man eventually escapes and Flor's parents manage to reach her side and rescue her before any harm is done.
