Camelot falls under the hand of Viking lord Sligon, who has stolen Excalibur from the king with the aid of Morgan Le Fay. Princess Ilene (a young Katherine Hiegl) and our hero are captured while trying to wrest the sword from the baddie, strung up by their wrists and tied back to back in mid-air over a pit of overgrown armor-plated alligators, with the rope holding them up being burnt through. With some acrobatics and the help of a member of a travelling circus troupe, the pair manage to escape certain death.
